CAPS – Cluny Association of Past Students

CAPS – Cluny Association of Past Students is making an earnest effort in trying to get the association more streamlined to make it stronger in the years to come.

The most painful moment for a student of Cluny is to bid farewell to her school, where she was given the best education, cared for and given moral, spiritual and social values.
The most awaited day for every past student of Cluny is January 26th. For a Clunian, January 26th is a special day not only because it is Republic Day but also because they meet in their Alma Mater for a few hours to get together with fond memories of their study in Cluny and spend some time reminiscing and sharing the good times they had had in Cluny for “Every treasured moment will again become a treasure when shared with others”.
It was here in Cluny that they were shown, made to appreciate and taught to love beautiful, lofty, healthy and noble things, whether in nature or in human creation. They not only get together for fun and frolic but they also join hands with zeal to illumine the path of the poor and the needy.

The following are some of the noteworthy projects that have added a feather to the association’s cap.
  • Donation of an Ambulance to Shanthi Bhavan
  • Contribution to a Tsunami affected lady to reconstruct her house
  • Contribution to a family below poverty line to repair and whitewash their house
  • Donation of a bicycle to an economically backward woman.
  • In a reach out programme “Anbin Nizhalil”, 104 workers who help in laying roads and cables, living on the roadside were given new clothes, bed spreads and snacks.
  • This was an innovative way of celebrating Pongal and sharing the joy of the harvest festival.
  • Installation of a Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Package Plant in the Primary Section.
  • Donation towards construction of one classroom in the new block in Primary Section.
  • Monetary help to one of our workers whose house was damaged by the Thane Cyclone.
  • Donation of cycles to our workers.

The attitude of benevolence we inherited from Cluny helps us to believe that “Little deeds of kindness, little words of love, make our Earth an Eden, like the Heaven above”.
